Great news for Daredevil fans! A cool new fan poster has appeared, showing both new and returning cast members for the much-awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series, Daredevil: Born Again. Although Netflix canceled the original show, Matt Murdock’s story is not over yet. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Daredevil will be a big part of MCU’s Phase 5. It will be a semi-sequel, not a complete reboot.
Now in production for its 18-episode first season, Daredevil: Born Again brings back favorite cast members from the Netflix series, like Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. The new poster, made by Art of Time Travel, shows Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Bernthal, and a hint of Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones. We also see Alaqua Cox’s Echo, who will have her own series soon.
Marvel Studios is keeping quiet about how the Netflix show and Daredevil: Born Again are connected. But we do know some differences between the two shows. For example, Daredevil sequel will have a longer season with 18 episodes, compared to the Netflix show’s 13 episodes. This makes it the longest Disney+ show for Marvel Studios.
Sadly, Daredevil: Born Again will not have two of Cox’s co-stars from the Netflix series. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson won’t play Karen Page and Foggy Nelson again. We don’t know if these characters will have new actors or if they won’t be in the show at all. D’Onofrio says Daredevil: Born Again will explore the characters more deeply than the Netflix show did.
In terms of the show’s feel, Daredevil: Born Again will be a bit less intense than the Netflix drama. It might be darker than Moon Knight, but we’ll have to wait and see as filming goes on.
Keep an eye out for more news about Daredevil: Born Again as the MCU’s Phase 5 offers a new look at Matt Murdock and his friends’ adventures. With both new and returning cast members, fans can look forward to an exciting new part of Daredevil’s story.
