Thor’s new armor for Thor: Love and Thunder can explain the return of Avengers: Infinity War’s character Eitri (Peter Dinklage). For his first appearance since Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth’s solo movie has a cast that could rival Avengers 5. The God of Thunder will still be at the forefront of Thor: Love and Thunder’s story, but so too will be Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as she becomes Mighty Thor. That said, these two Thors are just the tip of the iceberg regarding familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe characters who will appear.
The Avengers-level cast for Thor: Love and Thunder includes franchise stalwarts like Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander), but it is also known that the Guardians of the Galaxy will return. This will give audiences a chance to see more of the character dynamics originally seen in Avengers: Infinity War as the Guardians saved Thor and worked with him throughout the movie. It was during this journey that Thor, Rocket, and Groot encountered Eitri, the towering dwarf who forged Stormbreaker. There are now rumors that Eitri is in Thor 4 as well, but it is not clear what role he would play.
